21 Years For Arya: Allu Arjun Recalls How Film Changed His Life Forever

Allu Arjun's superhit film Arya completed 21 years of since its release. The milestone was announced by Allu Arjun on his social media account.

Talking about his debut film, Allu Arjun said that it changed the course of his life, and he went on on to thank fans for the love they have showered.

Allu Arjun shared some unseen BTS images from his debut film. He posted "#Arya wasn’t just a film, It was the beginning of a journey that changed my life forever. Grateful for the love, the memories, and the magic that still lives on. #21YearsForArya".

The romantic film written and directed by Sukumar in his directorial debut. Produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the film also starred Anu Mehta, and Siva Balaji. The music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography was by R Rathnavelu. The plot revolves around Arya, an jovial and free-spirited boy falling in love with Geetha, an introverted girl.

At the film's anniversary event last year, Allu Arjun spoke about how it had a positive impact on his career. He said "If I have to talk about the success of Arya, I have to say, in a metaphor, that it is the single biggest jump of my life... I started my career at minus 100, not at zero, with Gangotri I started my career at zero, so after the film, I went to a minus 100, after the success of Arya, I went to a plus 100 and then a 200 per cent jump. It will always be the biggest jump."

He also said "The film is a game changer in Tollywood. It made Dil Raju Garu a star producer. Sukumar Garu is one of the biggest pillars of my life. Devi Sri Prasad lifted the film to another level."

Director Sukumar and actor Allu Arjun are known for working together in hit films such as Arya, Arya 2, Pushpa 1 and Pushpa 2.
