Aimee Gibson, Christian Medina Murphy Win Female, Male Padel Players Of The Year Awards
Aimee Gibson dominated the LTA British Padel Tour as well as the FIP Tour circuit in 2024. Her great performance, including the FIP Rise Manila and FIP Rise Qatar titles, also saw her make a giant leap in the rankings. She rose to 95 in the world ranking after winning the two titles.

Aimee Gibson and Christian Medina Murphy have been named the Female and Male Padel Players of the Year.
Aimee Gibson has been adjudged the Female Padel Player of the Year for a second consecutive year at the prestigious LTA Tennis Awards, presented by Lexus.
She received the accolade at the tenth anniversary of the awards, which were held at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton.
Aimee dominated the LTA British Padel Tour as well as the FIP Tour circuit in 2024. Her great performance, including the FIP Rise Manila and FIP Rise Qatar titles, also saw her make a giant leap in the rankings. She is currently ranked 95th in the world.
Aimee started 2025 with back-to-back FIP Tour Silver titles by winning the Australian Padel Open and the Melbourne Padel Open.
In the men's section, Christian Medina Murphy won the Male Padel Player of the Year award. He won FIP Bronze Hong Kong II on Tuesday alongside Alberto Garcia. It was their first title since October last year.
The awards were hosted by the LTA's Head of Men’s Tennis, Leon Smith, who said: "It was such a great day at the National Tennis Centre, and amazing to see all the finalists come together.
"Hearing their stories during the awards and learning about the impact they've had on tennis and padel was honestly so inspiring.
"It was wonderful to be able to recognise everything they’ve done - all of which helps bring the LTA’s vision of ‘tennis opened up’ to life. I can’t wait to see what they do next."
The annual LTA Tennis Awards, presented by Lexus, celebrate the incredible achievements and contributions of people in tennis across Britain.
The winners, selected from more than 2,000 nominations across 25 different categories, have all been acknowledged for their outstanding contribution to tennis in 2024.
