Career

Born to a family with close ties to the Hindi film industry, Ajay started his career in films with Phool Aur Kaante in 1991 and received a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. The film is perhaps best remembered for Devgn's split which he performed while balancing between two motorcycles during the opening scene.

The actor has been a part of a number of stellar hits in his career and in 1998 starred in Zakhm, which earned him his first National Film Award for Best Actor. In his illustrious career, Ajay Devgn has been a part of a wide genre of films, including crime, drama, romance and comedy. The actor has managed to be a successful artiste as a solo-star and has held on to his own in multi-starrers as well. Films like Raincoat, Omkara, Golmaal, Company, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Rajneeti, Singham, Tanhaji, among others bear testimony to his immense acting prowess. He started a film production company called Ajay Devgn FFilms in 2000. He even established a visual effects company, NY VFXWAALA, in 2015.

Personal Life

Ajay Devgn married actress Kajol in a traditional Maharashtrian Hindu ceremony in 1999 and the couple is proud parents to two children, Nysa and Yug.
