Rahul Vaidya has been taking digs at fans of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. Calling them ‘2 kaudi ke jokers’, the singer’s scathing remarks are drawing mixed reactions on the internet. While Virat is yet to break his silence on the matter, his elder brother Vikas Kohli slammed the Bigg Boss 14 finalist for his words.

On Threads, Vikas defended his brother Virat and wrote, “Bache itni mehnat agar apni singing pai karle to shayad apni mehnat se famous ho jaae....While the whole nation is focused on the current situation of whats going on... this idiot is on a mission to gain followers and become famous taking Virat's name....WHAT A LOSER (sic).”

What's the controversy about?
A couple of days ago, Rahul revealed on Instagram that Virat’s fans have been abusing his wife, actress Disha Parmar, and his sister. “Virat Kohli’s fans are even bigger jokers than Virat!” read his first note on Instagram Story. Continuing this, he added, “And now you are abusing me that's fine but you are abusing my wife my sister.. who have nothing to do with this! So I was right. That's why you all Virat Kohli fans are jokers! 2 kaudi ke jokers.”
Rahul exclusively told Telly Talk/Zoom, “Virat Kohli has blocked me for some reason. I am not even aware about the reason. I used to be his fan. I am still a fan of the cricketer, but I don't endorse him as a human being. Yesterday, I put a very humourous story, saying that he had liked Avneet Kaur's fan page picture. Then he gave clarification, citing that it was some algorithm glitch. So, probably, I am blocked because of the algorithm ne Virat Kohli ke behalf pe mujhe galti se block kar diya hoga.”
He further shared, “Eventually, the fans started abusing me. So, I had to give a reply by putting a simple status in which I called them 'jokers' rather than using bad words. Now, I am being trolled; my wife and sister are being trolled. They have been trolled with cuss words and getting abuse on their mother and sister. That's very common right now. What do you expect from jokers?”
On Thursday, Rahul reacted to a news piece claiming Virat’s fans were arrested for sacrificing goat before the cricketer’s cutout. He wrote, “Once a joker, always a joker. This is so messed up. 2 kaudi ke jokers.”
Amid the controversy, Virat and his wife Anushka Sharma have maintained silence.
