On Camera: How India Shot Down Pakistani Drones

Pakistan on Thursday night escalated tensions by launching a swarm of drones targeting multiple civilian and military sites across India, which were foiled by the Indian forces.

The Indian Army on Friday released a video of a Pakistani drone being neutralised during an attack along the international border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) on the intervening night of May 8 and 9. The Indian Army, in a statement, said that the Pakistani Armed Forces launched "multiple attacks using drones and other munitions" and the Indian security forces gave a "befitting reply."
As per sources, the Indian Armed Forces shot down over 50 Pakistani drones on the intervening night. "Pakistan Armed Forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along entire Western Border on the intervening night of 08 and 09 May 2025. Pak troops also resorted to numerous cease fire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The drone attacks were effectively repulsed and befitting reply was given to the CFVs," the Indian Army said in a statement.
"Indian Army remains committed to safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Nation. All nefarious designs will be responded with force," it added.
