New Delhi: A traffic advisory has been issued for the commuters of Delhi's Saket area. The Delhi Traffic Police said that there will be certain regulations and road diversions in the Saket Court Complex area on Friday, May 9. The temporary arrangements have been made in view of the Bar Council elections scheduled at the venue, officials said.
The regulations will remain in place from 8 am and 8 pm in the vicinity of the court complex due to an expected large turnout of advocate voters, they said.
- Vehicular movement will be regulated on the following roads:
- Press Enclave Road
- Pankaj Juyial Marg
- Mandir Marg
- Internal roads of Saket and Pushp Vihar
- Traffic advisory issued by the Delhi Traffic Police on X.
- Heavy vehicles and DTC/cluster buses will be diverted:
- From Hauz Rani T-point
- From Sheikh Sarai T-point on Press Enclave Road
- Suggested alternative routes:
- From Chirag Delhi to Qutub Minar: Take the route via Khanpur Red Light and MB Road.
- From IIT Flyover: Continue on Aurobindo Marg → take TB Hospital Red Light → proceed to Lado Sarai via MB Road.
- Commuters are advised to:
- Follow traffic regulations
- Avoid restricted zones
- Use designated parking areas
- Cooperate with traffic personnel in the area
- Public advisory:
- Report any suspicious object or activity to the authorities immediately.
