On Thursday night, Pakistan carried out another attack on India, targeting several cities across Punjab, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir with missiles and drones. Amid this, several airports across the nation closed down, leading to the cancellation of numerous flights to and from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI). Delhi Airport authorities have now shared an update on the status of the airport’s services.
Despite the rising tensions and heightened security across the country, the Delhi airport has maintained that operations remain normal, though some flights have been impacted due to changing airspace conditions.
In a statement, Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), which operates IGIA, said, "Please check with your airline for the latest updates. We urge everyone to rely only on official sources and avoid sharing unverified information. We're working closely with all stakeholders to minimise any inconvenience."
The airport’s assurance comes amid broader security measures being put in place across the country.
