Even though some parts of this root do help in reducing inflammation, it can mostly lead to your body releasing molecules that increase inflammation, making it chronic. It can also lead to serious liver damage and is linked to tremors, especially in those who have Parkinson's disease already running in their family. A few other side effects include drowsiness, nausea, indigestion, and headaches.

Vitamin A supplements

Vitamin A plays an important role in keeping your immune system from overreacting and causing inflammation. However, overdosing on it can cause liver damage. Beta-carotene supplements are also linked to a higher chance of lung cancer in smokers, including those who have stopped smoking.

And so, CLA supplements can make your inflammation worse, especially in those with normal or low inflammation.

Iron supplements

Even though iron is an extremely important supplement that helps make red blood cells, too much can be extremely harmful, especially if you have inflammation.
Doctors say high doses of iron supplements can lead to nausea, constipation, ulcers, and higher inflammation levels. As an adult, you would need only 8 to 18 milligrams of iron per day, and going over 40 milligrams can be highly unsafe.
Iron supplements should only be taken if they are prescribed by your doctor.
