Hailey Bieber’s Rare Vintage Audemars Piguet, All Diamonds and Gold, Is the Stuff of Horological Fantasy
Worn with sheer YSL tights and no pants, Hailey’s 1970s-era cocktail watch was the quietest flex on the Met Gala red carpet — opal dial, diamond bezel, and all.

There is nothing that screams chic and stealth wealth quite like a vintage luxury timepiece, the value of which could easily compete with the real estate prices of Manhattan.
Hailey Bieber stepped onto the red carpet of the Met Gala 2025 in a Saint Laurent tuxedo, sans any pants. Well, Hailey and her gang have long been advocates of the no-pants look, and at the Met Gala, Hailey simply wore the tuxedo. She styled her double-breasted blazer with a white silk pocket square, sheer tights adorned with the YSL logo made of rhinestones.
But what had our eyes popping was the vintage Audemars Piguet cocktail watch that Hailey wore to the gala. The archival watch, perhaps from the 1970s, comes with a diamond-set bezel, a white-gold bracelet, and a dial made out of shimmering opal.
Stunning statement jewellery pieces added to her look. Hailey's jewellery was mostly from Tiffany & Co., including a 25-carat diamond necklace with a rectangular diamond pendant, and drop earrings.
Looks like the watch was from Hailey's personal collection, because, typically, brands can't be mixed and matched during such events.
Also, the Rhode founder has turned into a lover of pricey timepieces—especially by Audemars Piguet—because this isn't the first time she’s worn one by the Swiss watchmaker. Among the numerous watches, Hailey also owns Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak, which was designed by watchmaker Gérald Genta in the 1970s. What Hailey owns is a smaller version of this timepiece, and swears by this mini-sized yellow gold watch. It is called TTRO (teeny tiny Royal Oak) by Dimepiece's Brynn Wallner.
