Kedarnath Yatra 2025: Helicopter Bookings Now Open For June
Travellers heading to Kedarnath for the 2025 Yatra can now book helicopter services if their travel dates fall between June 1 and June 22. This year, the Kedarnath Dham was opened to devotees on May 2, 2025 and will continue to remain open till October 23.
Kedarnath Dham Helicopter Services
As per reports, only IRCTC’s HeliYatra website (heli yatra.irctc.co.in) provides online helicopter ticket booking for Shri Kedarnath Dham & Shri Hemkund Sahib. Before you book your helicopter ride, registration for the Kedarnath Yatra is mandatory for all pilgrims.
You can register online at the official Uttarakhand Tourism website: https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in. The portal allows pilgrims to input their personal details, select travel dates, and obtain a Yatra pass, which is required for both trekking and helicopter bookings.
Helicopter Services: Operators & Routes
Helicopter services for Kedarnath in 2025 are operational from three key helipads:
- Guptkashi (Aryan Aviation, Trans Bharat Aviations)
- Phata (Pawan Hans, Thumby Aviation, Global Vectra Helicorp, Trans Bharat Aviations
- Sirsi (Himalayan Heli Services, Kestrel Aviation, Arrow Aircrafts)
- Phata: Rs 6062 (Round trip)
- Sirsi: Rs 6060 (Round trip)
- Guptkashi: Rs 8532 (Round trip)
How To Book Helicopter Services To Kedarnath
- Helicopter tickets must be booked only through the official IRCTC website: https://www.heliyatra.irctc.co.in
- Important things to keep in mind:
- Bookings are non-transferable.
- In case of cancellation due to bad weather, technical issues, or government orders, a full refund (excluding gateway/transaction/convenience charges) will be processed.
- Bring valid photo ID and your Yatra registration slip.
- Each passenger is allowed up to 5 kg of baggage.
- Children under 2 years fly free but must sit on an adult’s lap.
Best Time To Book
Helicopter seats are limited and sell out quickly, especially for June. Booking at least 3–4 weeks in advance is recommended, particularly if you’re travelling with seniors or during peak pilgrimage dates.
