Given the anticipation surrounding the film, the makers have revealed details of the film's OTT and satellite partner.
Soori's Maaman: OTT and Satellite Partner Revealed
Maaman will stream on ZEE5 following the end of its theatrical run. Making the announcement on X, Soori posted , "It’s official! @ZeeTamil secures the satellite rights and @ZEE5Tamil the digital rights for #Maaman. #MaamanFromMay16."
The trailer of Maaman, starring Soori and Aishwarya Lekshmi, was released a few days ahead of the film’s theatrical release. As per the credits on the trailer, the movie's story has been penned by Soori. The film is directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj.
The trailer opens with Soori playing a maternal uncle to his sister's child. He excitedly shares news about his sister’s baby, expressing his desire to be the first voice the child hears. As the trailer unfolds, we see him involved in the child's life, right from birth.
What starts off as a heartwarming family drama later shows us changes between the uncle and nephew. A tiff leads to their separation, highlighting the emotional bond of their relationship.
With fans showering praise on his recent choice of films such as Viduthalai, and Garudan, Soori's upcoming film Maaman is sure to excite audience.
The cast of Maaman includes Rajkiran, Vimal, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Swasika, Baba Baskar, Master. Prageeth Sivan, Bala Saravanan, Jaya Prakash, Viji Chandrasekar, Geetha Kailasam and Chaya Devi among others.
Maaman has music by Hesham Abdul Wahab, who is popular for his work in Malayalam and Telugu cinema. It is his second film in Tamil as a composer after Once More, the Arjun Das-Aditi Shankar that hasn't released yet.
