NewJeans Minji's Bitter-Sweet Note On Birthday Leaves Bunnies Emotional: My Mind Is Cluttered...

NewJeans member Minji turned 21 on May 7. On the occasion, she wrote a bitter-sweet, heartwarming note for her fans. Though the letter, she expressed her sentiments, her state of mind and her gratitude as her girl group continues to remain embroiled in its legal fight against ADOR and its parent company HYBE.

Minji posted her note on her group's new social media handle which received a lot of love from fans.

"Hi Bunnies! I missed you. I wonder what everyone has been up to lately~.

I think I've been living a busier life than I realized. I came to my senses, and suddenly it was May and my birthday!! Time flies. There's so much I want to say, but maybe because my mind is cluttered, I can't organize my thoughts. I just want myself, our members, and Bunnies to be happy. My biggest goal in life is happiness.

Chasing only my own happiness by doing what I love may seem naive to some… but I want today and tomorrow to be happy. I wish the same for your days too, Bunnies. Isn’t it too harsh to give up your current happiness for the sake of some future happiness? A future that might never come?

I miss the times when we came together through good music and shared our thoughts. But I’m always more excited about what lies ahead. We’re not stopping here, and we won’t stop. It might look like we’re standing still, but I believe we’re growing deeper. I hope the today we shared with Bunnies, and the tomorrow we’ll share, are filled with happiness. From Minji, who now feels our moments together are even more precious in this finite time."

Reacting to her note, a fan wrote on X, "I was surprised by how peaceful minji’s birthday was.. no media play or fanwars it was nice.." Another fan added, "HBD. I hope NewJeans can make a big comeback. Music world needs them."

Minji also shared a video of visiting a birthday café that fans had set up for her. She even cut a cake.
