On CCTV: Woman Falls Down 20 Feet Escaping Dog at Greater Noida Society

A woman trying to escape an aggressive pet dog ended up falling 20 feet down a parapet at a society in Greater Noida. The incident occurred on May 5 at Supertech Eco Village 1, and was captured on a surveillance camera.

CCTV footage shows the victim walking warily down an elevated walkway, about to cross a dog walker. Seconds later, the canine is seen launching at her, causing the woman to run towards the barrier and fall face-first.

A commotion ensues on the road below, with about four passersby rushing to help the woman, as the dog and its walker try to get a clear view of the events.

Sharing the video on X, a community-run Great Noida West account wrote: “A woman fell off the boundary wall and was seriously injured while running from a dog. It is alleged that the woman walking the dog could not control it, due to which this accident happened.”

Elsewhere on social media, observers seemed to agree.

“That’s awful,” said an Instagram user. “But honestly, don’t blame the dog, blame the owner. If you can’t train or control your pet, you shouldn’t have one. It’s an animal, not a villain”

A second commented: “I am a animal lover but want to tell u that if the owner of dog can't fully control their dog I request not a [sic] go for a walk in public area ,not every one is dog friendly”

An alternate camera angle provided a clearer, side-on view of the accident. It captures the nasty fall, which was slightly broken by a plant standing over an ornamental bush.

The victim, a 37-year-old, was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors said she had sustained an injury in her spine that required surgery.

According to her husband, the mother of a four-month-old daughter is receiving treatment for her injuries.
