ICAI CA Inter, Final Exams Postponed Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed all exams scheduled between May 9 and 14. ICAI released an official notification stating that the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT May 2025 have been postponed until further notice.

"In partial modification of the Institute’s Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/2025 dated 13th January 2025, it is announced for general information that in view of the tense and security situation in the Country, the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] May 2025 from 9th May 2025 to 14th May 2025, stand postponed," the official ICAI statement read.

CA Intermediate May 2025 exams for group 1 were scheduled to take place on May 3, 5 and 7. Group 2 exams were scheduled on May 9, 11 and 14. Similarly, CA Final group 1 exams were scheduled on May 2, 4 and 6. The group 2 exams were scheduled on May 8, 10 and 13.

Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] were scheduled on May 10 and 13.

The revised dates will be announced in due course.

This decision has been taken in consideration with the rising tension between India and Pakistan, after Pakistan escalated the tensions and India retaliated. Due to this, all schools in Jammu and Kashmir, and all schools in some districts of Punjab and Rajasthan have also been ordered to remain shut till further notice.
