'Our Forces Will Reply In A Manner Pakistan Will Never Forget': Sehwag, Neeraj Chopra Cheer for Armed Forces
Virender Sehwag and Neeraj Chopra came out in support of the Indian armed forces amid the escalation in tensions in the bordering regions of India and Pakistan. The Indian army and air forces launched an intense counter-strike operation that destroyed as many as nine terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan through Operation Sindoor in the aftermath of the barbaric Pahalgam Terror attacks.

As the tensions between India and Pakistan escalated on Thursday (May 8), Virender Sehwag and Neeraj Chopra came out in strong support of the Indian army forces and slammed Pakistan. The Indian sporting icons' reactions came just minutes after the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was called off mid-way.
Sehwag did not mince words while calling out Pakistan's action and stated that the country will get a fitting reply from the Indian army. The 2011 World Cup-winner also called out the neighbouring country for escalating the situation.
"War has been chosen by Pakistan when they had an opportunity to keep quiet. They have escalated to save it’s terrorist assets, speaks so much about them. Our forces will reply in the most appropriate manner, a manner Pakistan will never forget," wrote Sehwag on X.
Meanwhile, Neeraj hailed the Indian armed forces in their fight against terrorism. The two-time Olympic medalist also urged people to follow guidelines issued by the government and official agencies.
"We are proud of our Brave Indian Armed Forces who are fighting for our nation against Terrorism. Let’s do our part and make sure to follow guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety during this time.Jai Bharat. Jai Bharat ki sena," Neeraj wrote on X.
India launched a strong counter-strike operation that destroyed as many as nine terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) through Operation Sindoor in the aftermath of the barbaric Pahalgam terror attacks, where 26 people were killed by terrorists at a popular tourist spot in India.
Sehwag, who was widely known among India's finest cricketers in history, is currently working as a pundit in the IPL 2025. Neeraj will be next seen in action in the NC Classic, a first-of-a-kind special Javelin tournament in India scheduled to take place in Bengaluru on May 24.
