Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Launch Date Is May 13: Price In India, USA, Dubai, How To Watch Launch Event Live And More

After being teased earlier this year, Samsung’s slimmest phone, Galaxy S25 Edge, is finally confirmed to launch globally on May 13 at company's Beyond Slim event. The Galaxy S25 Edge will be launched at a fully virtual event on May 13 at 5:30 AM Indian Standard Time. The Beyond Slim event will be live-streamed on the company’s official YouTube channel, website as well as Samsung Newsroom.

Samsung hasn’t officially said how much it will cost, but leaks suggest it could be priced between $1,099 and $1,199 in the US. That’s about Rs 94,000 to Rs 1,02,600 in India, around AED 4,036 in the UAE and between 1.5 to 1.63 million won in South Korea.

"The Galaxy S25 Edge not only sets a new standard for what you can achieve with your smartphone but it also unlocks a new era of growth for the mobile industry,' the South Korean smartphone maker said in a statement.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is getting attention for being super slim -- just 5.84mm thick. While Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air might be slightly thinner at 5.5mm, the difference is small. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be the thinnest phone Samsung has ever made.

To match its slim design, the phone is expected to have a strong yet light titanium frame and may come in colours like Icy Blue, Jet Black and Silver.

Even though it’s thin, the phone is expected to be powerful. It might use the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. That means it should work smoothly with games, apps and multitasking. However, the slim body may limit battery size. The phone is rumored to have a 4,000mAh battery, which might not last as long as some users want.

For photos, the Galaxy S25 Edge may have a 200-megapixel dual rear camera, similar to the one in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It could also have a 12-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Like the other S25 series phones, this devices is set to support Galaxy AI features as well.
