Squid Game Season 3 teaser has brought back major fan theories and discussions around "who would, what would, how would..." After a major character's fate remaining a mystery after the cliffhanger finale on Season 2, a little more was hinted at in the recently released teaser video of the third installment of the hit Netflix show.
We are talking about Lee Jin-Wook who played Park Gyeong-Seok (Player 246) until Season 2. But an open end to the season and his character left many wondering about his future, leaving fans guessing whether he was dead or alive.
Fans react to Lee Jin-Wook's role in Squid Game 3
The latest teaser of Squid Game Season 3, however, suggested something about the character. As per discussions on X, Reddit and TikTok, Gyeong-Seok appears in a blink-and-miss shot. Though his full face is not shown, the character does seem to be him.
One fan wrote, "I hope he can go home to his sick baby girl. 🥺 and can pay her treatment."
Gyeong-Seok's fate remains undecided
By the end of Squid Game Season 2, we know who died and have a hint at everyone else who survived so far. Only one character has left audience wondering about his fate - Park Gyeong-Seok (Player 246). He entered to win some money for the treatment of his daughter. While he appeared in just a handful shots, he came around by joining the rebellion. Towards the end, he tries to surrender after he runs out of ammo. He begs to a guard for mercy mentioning his sick daughter, yet gets shot. Though, there are speculations about his death.
He falls on the ground but is never shown as a corpse in close-up. Some fans believe his life was spared because the guard was No-Eul (011). We saw how No-eul was aware about his daughter's condition as they worked at the same amusement park during the beginning of the show.

Also, gives how Park Gyu-Young (No-Eul) leaked a photo from the sets of Squid Game on her Instagram handle where fans noticed Jin-Wook in the background dressed in the pink jumpsuit, netizens were convinced that Gyeong-Seok might have survived and will now team up with No-Eul towards her ultimate motive behind becoming a guard, which still remains disclosed.
