TRISHA

Trisha Krishnan, popularly known as Trisha, started her career as a model before entering films. She was crowned Miss Chennai in 1999, and in the same year, she did a small role in the Tamil film Jodi. However, Trish's formal entry into film was with 2002's Tamil film Mounam Pesiyadhe. The film was a huge hit at the box office and Trisha's performance was appreciated. She then went on to be part of many successful Tamil films, including Saamy, Ghilli, and Telugu movies like Varsham, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, and Athadu, among others. She also worked in some Malayalam films, and made her Bollywood debut with Khatta Meetha (2010). But Trisha didn't see the kind of success she enjoys in south cinema in the Hindi film industry.

After her father's death in 2012, Trisha lives in Chennai with her mother and grandmother. She got engaged to businessman Varun Manian in early 2015, but after a few months, the couple decided to go their separate ways.
