Vijay's Thirupaachi Co-Star Benjamin Slams Reports Of Death Hoax

Actor Benjamin, who is popular for playing supporting roles in Tamil films, and more notably for playing a key role in Vijay's Thirupaachi, has slammed reports which stated that he has died.

In a video message, Benjamin has said that he has come across these baseless reports in the past as well.

Benjamin who has acted in close to 40 films and has shared the screen space with actors like Vijay, Ajith, Kamal Haasan and Vadivelu, said that he is deeply upset over the reports.

He said "if you are healthy, work hard to earn money and live, don't create fake news online and create panic. This news came to me when I was away at a shoot, and my wife had to answer so many people who visited my house after they fell for the fake death news. "

In 2020 Benjamin suffered a sudden heart attack and was admitted to the hospital and was treated at a private hospital in Salem for a few days before being shifted to Bangalore. Following this, the actor released a video asking for financial help from friends in the Tamil film industry.

He later posted a recovery note which read "I had two blocks and got an angiogram done. There are two stents in the heart now. I am perfectly fine and back in my hometown in Salem. I thank everyone at the hospital in Bengaluru and Salem, where I underwent my initial treatment and each and everyone who helped my recover and prayed for my recovery."

Thirupaachi written and directed by Perarasu and produced by RB Choudary under Super Good Films featured Vijay in the lead. Benjamin played Vijay's friend in the film. The action drama also starred Trisha, Mallika, J Livingston, Pasupathy, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Vaiyapuri and Manoj K.
